Our History

Cumberland RSL Sub-Branch came about by the amalgamation of Auburn RSL Sub-Branch and Homebush/Strathfield RSL Sub-Branch on 13th April 2017.

Auburn RSL Sub-Branch was established in 1920 and its RSL Charter was granted in 1922.

Auburn has a rich military history including the most decorated First World War soldier.

Residents of Auburn have served in Sudan War, The Boxer Rebellion, Boer War, First World War, Second World War, Korean War, Malaya and Borneo Conflicts, Vietnam War, Iraq War, Afghanistan War and United Nations Peace Keeping Forces.
