Eligibility

All candidates who wish to undertake this qualification are required to have completed training in First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR, evidence of these qualifications will be required to be presented upon enrolment.

Introduction:

All course – 3 Units ( 320 hours)

This qualification covers workers who use organisation policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

Selection Criteria:

All course – 3 Units ( 320 hours)
Completion of Year 10 or a Certificate III or equivalent work experience plus
You need to be already working in the field, that is, be an existing worker
Reading and writing

a learner will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts within a variety of contexts.

Oral communication

a learner will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts.

Numeracy and Mathematics

a learner will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.
