NDIS Audit

Certificate of Registration

The NDIS commission will decide If the application is successful,

The provider will receive the certificate of registration, and their business will be added to the provider register so that participants can view and engage with the provider to obtain their needed services. After three years, the provider must recertify in three years and require a mid-term audit after 18 months of the primary certification date. This is a health check to ensure compliance or identify any areas that could impact the certification. The AAA certification services coordinator will contact the provider three months before the mid-term due date to organise the mid-term Audit.

Unsuccessful Application

If the application is unsuccessful, the NDIS Commission will see why. The provider may request a review within three months of the decision. If the application is unsuccessful, providers may seek a further review from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Note: Some applications will take longer to process than others. The timeframe depends on several factors, such as the size and scale of the company and the complexity and range of services and support the provider delivers.

Mid-term Audit after 18 months

A mid-term audit is an assessment that will be conducted during the certification period to ensure that quality support and services are always provided. It gives the confidence that your staff are performing their duties and confidence that you will meet the requirements for full certification. AAAcs will review all documents, previous NDIS audit reports, and related documents and discuss the audit requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

The purpose of an OHS audit is to assess whether your organisation’s safety systems comply with relevant WHS legislation and standards such as ISO 45001. It helps identify gaps, evaluate the effectiveness of your safety controls, and provide recommendations for improvement.

The audit involves reviewing documents, inspecting the physical workplace, interviewing staff, and assessing processes such as hazard identification, risk management, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness. We tailor the audit scope to your business needs.

The duration depends on your organisation's size and complexity. A small business might take a few hours, while a large facility or multi-site organisation may require several days. We’ll provide an estimated schedule during the planning stage.

We conduct audits against WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and international standards such as ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). We can also assess compliance with your internal policies or client-specific requirements.

We’ll document any non-conformities in the audit report along with suggested corrective actions if we identify them. We also offer support to help you close these gaps and improve your overall safety performance.
